The unique
pole clamp...
Simple and effective
The
Gruven frame is designed
with a unique pole clamp. You do not thread
this frame onto a pole. Instead, it slides over the threads and
locks with a
simple quarter turn of the rectangular (easy to grip) clamp knob
-- takes
about 2 seconds.
The clamp is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum and is very
tough. It
will not wear out, and will always provide a sure grip to any
pole.
...Slides
on and locks -- Fits all poles
It
will fit on all poles -- any make, including Wooster® non-threaded
types
(Sherlock®). It even fits those wooden broom handle types.
It will not damage
the threads on a pole. It will not work loose on the pole.
You will
never have to stop and retighten a frame again.
This quick clamp arrangement comes in handy when you find yourself
having
to change poles. For standard 8' walls most pro's use a 3 - 4'
pole, but when
we get into closets, hallways, baths, and kitchens, we usually
unscrew the pole
and use the frame alone. In my years of experience, I always found
rolling with
the frame alone very tiring ...the handle wasn't quite long enough
-- you had
to really stretch at times -- it wears you out. We designed a
special ergonomic
(comfortable) 12" handle for the Gruven. It is just
long enough to reduce stretching
and straining, yet short enough to be used in tight areas. Because
it attaches so easily
and quickly, you simply remove it if you wish to store your frame
in a 5 gallon
bucket. The foam handle is very comfortable too, and provides
a sure grip even in
adverse working conditions.
.....The Gruven frame come
standard with this 12" handle.
....Again, it's
easy to remove and you can use any length (or brand) pole.
The Gruven frame is easy
to store because the pole/handle can be removed.
It's compact disassembled size allows for an easy fit into a plastic
bag for
temporary storage of wet rollers. It will also fit in a tool bag
... no problem,
it's easy to carry with you, it's always there, ready to go.
